During the webinar, representatives of Ofgem, IBM and EDF Energy Networks discussed the development of smart grids in the UK and across Europe, focussing on the challenges and next steps required. The webinar took place in the same week as the publication of Ofgem's final decision document on its new RIIO model, so participants also discussed how regulatory change will influence their ability to drive forward smarter gas and electricity networks for a low carbon future.
